PANOS ZACHARIOS
Head Instructor
Panagiotis Zacharios is the founder and director of the Guerrilla Tactical Strength group founded in 2009.
His involvement with Krav Maga began in 2006, when he attended the instructors’ school in Greece by Avi Moyal (Chairman of IKMF) and from 2007 onwards he started teaching professionally.
In 2013 he voluntarily left IKMF and collaborated with IMKM. In the middle of 2014 and after a proposal he accepted from Krav Maga Global, he decided and collaborated exclusively with them and KMG Greece. Since the beginning of 2018, Guerrilla has been working with many different Krav Maga providers around the world.
All these years that he has been teaching Krav Maga, Panagiotis Zacharios has traveled many times to Israel and other countries, taking part in many schools and trainings.
Panagiotis Zacharios was the technical director of KMG Attica and all the instructors of KMG Attica were trained and trained by him.
In 2022 Guerrilla in collaboration with Ron Rotem (Master Level1) and the Israeli Krav Maga Institute organized the first Expert Camp in Israel.
In 2023 Panos Zacharios received a Certificate Of Recognition from Ron Rotem for his contribution to Krav Maga all these years.
In 2011 he was certified by Steve Cotter and the IKFF as an authorized Kettlebells instructor in Greece, with the first level from the International Kettlebells Federation.
In 2009, he decided to take up Muay Thai, after years of practicing as a simple student in it as well as in Kick boxing. For this reason he traveled to Phuket, Thailand, where he stayed for two months.
During this time he trained at the world famous Camp Tiger Muay Thai, with top Thai instructors. .
From 2015 onwards he decided to deal actively and frequently with the operational use of weapons as well as with practical shooting. He is an active shooter and practical shooting athlete registered with SKOE and in 2017 after completing a state-recognized training school he was certified as a shooting instructor by SKOE.
Since then, he has attended several schools and traveled abroad for further training in the use of weapons.
General Knowledge of Martial Arts and Sports Activities
His involvement in martial arts began at a very young age. At the age of 14 he started doing Sotokan karate, in which he reached the brown belt. Later he switched to full contact styles, such as Kick Boxing, BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) with which he is still actively involved as an athlete, taking part periodically and when time allows him to prepare, in amateur competitions.
In the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he is a two-time Panhellenic champion, winning the gold medal in his category in the white belts in 2022, and the bronze medal in the 2023 Panhellenic championship in the blue belts. Also in 2023 he traveled to Rome and won the silver medal in his category at the pan-European championship of IBJJF.
After practicing martial arts, his first contact with sports was at the age of 5 through swimming, which he practiced for a total of 9 years. In fact, for 2 years he was a member of the national children’s swimming team, participating in pan-Hellenic competitions with several awards.
Academic Knowledge
Graduate of the Faculty of IT Applications in Management and Economics of the University of the Ionian Islands.
MBA in Hospitality & Tourism Management from London Metropolitan University.
